Everyone who pronounces two sentences of the Creed is to testify that there is no god but Allah and testify that the Prophet Muhammad is a messenger of God, then automatically he is a person who is Muslim. Every Muslim has no right to judge the faith of others, especially if he charged others of being infidel (kafir).

The attitude of a muslim who like to judge other muslims as infidels and shirk never actually taught in the religion of Islam and not also exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) because when a muslim accuses another muslim as a heretic then it is indeed a reflection of the high passions surrounding his personality.

That message was conveyed by "KH Mustofa Bisri" or familiarly called "Gus Mus" in one of his lectures. According to Gus Mus, everyone who is a martyr is Muslim. No one has the right to judge whether someone has left Islam, as long as he is still a martyr. Even if a Muslim seldom performs the prayer, has not yet performed the Hajj, and still does not pay Zakat, we are not entitled to justify the Muslim as infidel.

"People who say lailahaillallah are Muslims. Muslims have not prayed yet, Muslims have not hajj much yet, Muslims have not had more zakat. But as soon as he is a martyr, it is already Islam, "said Kiai who is also the caregiver of the Raudlatut Thalibin Islamic Boarding School, Rembang, Central Java.

According to Gus Mus, the behavior of a Muslim who labeled 'Muslim KTP' to other Muslims who have not been obedient in fulfilling religious teachings is an unjustified act, especially to accuse other Muslims of being shirk and infidels. Such accusations according to Gus Mus have exceeded God's authority. The accusation actually comes from mere lust, and not spirit in religion.
"So it is not true that there are so-called as 'Islam KTP', or that other type of Islam(s). Even calling a muslim an infidel though he is clearly doing prayer. That's attitude is not true at all, it's Not true! Moreover it is lust and not part of the Islam." said Gus Mus
The spirit of religion according to Gus Mus must be brought to joyful things, not just frightening. Indonesian people flocked to Islam because this religion was displayed by previous scholars through encouraging and easy things. There is nothing in its history that the bearers of Islam to the archipelago easily mislead and forgive others. What became the priority of the early scholars was a 'happy-Islam'.
"The spirit of religion is the spirit of inviting all people to be happy in the world, and hereafter," concluded Gus Mus.
